Situation Report of Sagaing Earthquake in Myanmar
As of March 29, 2025, the situation in Sagaing, Myanmar, after the earthquake is critical, with urgent health needs arising. Medical teams are facing a high demand for trauma and surgical care, as well as essential supplies like blood transfusions and anesthetics to treat the injured. Many health facilities have been damaged, making it crucial to provide tents for healthcare workers and access to essential medicines. Concerns about safe water and sanitation are rising. Additionally, there is an urgent need for mental health and psycho social support to help individuals cope with the disaster’s emotional impact. Assessments of health facility damages are underway to guide the response efforts.
