Doc. AJDHM. Seminar session on the overview of the AJDHM
When writing a research journal, the first crucial step is to detail the research methodology. This allows others to explain, replicate, and develop the results that have been published. It’s important to remember that publishing a manuscript involves making all related materials, data, computer code, and protocols available. The next step is to present the research results, which must be objective and form the basis for why the research was conducted, as they reveal the study’s outcome.
Doc. AJDHM. Discussion session of the 1st meeting of Academic Writing Workshop
The discussion section, distinct from the research results, should focus not only on the objective outcomes but also on the background and research ideas related to these results. An engaging introduction is essential to attract readers and provide an overview of the research development. Lastly, the research title must be both interesting and scientific to reflect the focus of the AJDHM on scientific research.

The content of the workshop was for engaging introduction based on research context and strategies for designing a comprehensive research methodology, searching, and using references appropriately. Therefore, this workshop explored the intricacies of a developed introduction tailored to a specific research context. Participants gained valuable insights into strategies for designing a comprehensive research methodology and effective use of references.

The workshop stressed that a good research study effectively addresses the problems and gaps within its field. Common mistakes to avoid in the introduction include improperly setting the research context, making it too broad or too narrow, overloading it with unnecessary details, and failing to link the context to the research question. To write an effective introduction, keep it relevant and concise, focus on clarity and coherence, and continuously link back to the research question. Avoiding plagiarism involves understanding its definition and types (direct, self, mosaic, accidental), recognizing the consequences of plagiarism in academia, and following best practices to ensure originality.
