The 1st Meeting of the Editorial Board (EB) for the ASEAN Journal of Disaster Health Management (AJDHM) was successfully facilitated by the AIDHM Secretariat. The meeting was held on 21 March 2024 which brought together with the EB members, who represent a diverse array of countries and expertise in disaster health management.
This meeting was crucial for comprehending the roles and responsibilities of the EB members. In addition, this meeting has involved making important decisions that are crucial for the upcoming publication of the journal. These decisions will be the basis for ensuring smooth and efficient journal management as well as the publication plan.
Key highlights of the discussion of the meeting included a comprehensive publication plan and the document relevant to the publication process for the 1st issue. The discussion emphasized the importance of collaboration and support for the ASEAN Journal on DHM, as this is the first ASEAN journal with the scope of DHM.
Looking ahead, the EB members are poised to make significant progress in advancing the objectives of the AJDHM. With the support and facilitation of AIDHM, the board is committed to enhancing DHM across the ASEAN region and beyond through the scientific knowledge approach.
